Malvern Hills Youth Council

Some while ago MHDC set up a Young Peoples' Council as a forum for younger people in the District to have their voice heard and this proved a useful opportunity with representation from this area. It is now proposed to give a grant of £500 to finance expenses for elections to the Council and election campaigns. It has previously been planned only to conduct elections through schools within the District, thus disenfranchising those in this area who go to college or schools in Worcester. I question whether taxpayers' money should be going towards such an exclusive activity.
