Local Government strike
A one day strike has been called by Local Government Unions on Wednesday 23rd March as a result of government plans to change pension arrangements. Leaving aside the proposed changes at this time (although I do have to comment that local government pensions are a lot better than those of many Council Tax payers), it is not known what effect, if any, will be felt in Malvern Hills.
If any refuse collections due on that day are not made, the Council has stated that they will be made on the following day. I should be pleased to hear if anyone experiences any problems, although as Wednesday is my collection day, I should experience them first hand.
