Malvern Hospital?
A little while ago I commented on the Council's requirement for a firm commitment on a new hospital being built for the District if it agreed to sell some land to build a health centre in Malvern. My concern that the firm commitment was shaky was confirmed at the Council meeting on Tuesday when the go ahead for the land sale was sought, without developing this any further.
I have seen no evidence that the Council has made a proper effort in relation to this (and in fact appeared to be frightened off by pressure from the PCT). I therefore persuaded them to try harder by sending a delegation to the Strategic Health Authority to negotiate with those who will have the real say.
