Time to get on
Apart from there now being an opportunity for a change of government now that the General Election date is set, it seems that we now know when the Council can get on with its business. I am sure that the fact that the Council Leader is a parliamentary candidate is not unconnected with the fact that a number of important issues have been quietly shelved in recent weeks - the Splash overspend , the Theatres report, the new Hospital working party, the review of Council property use and others.
I look forward to all these issues moving forward in May - although they are all important enough to deserve earlier attention.
