Council Tax Rebilling
Unfortunately the Council's officers have now concluded that the council has no powers to prevent the rebilling in the way suggested. It still strikes me as an appalling waste of our money just for the government to make a point. It is a pity that they didn't show such concern over the past few years when local taxes were increasing fast, frequently due to effects of their own legislation and financial treatment of more rural councils.
