Green Waste Sacks
In order to dissuade us from sending green waste with the weekly refuse collection and compost it instead, the Council recently doubled the cost of green sacks to £1. There has been a noticeable level of protest against this and as a result the cost will be reinstated to 50p for those aged over 60.
It is probably worth noting that such green waste is not recycled, but sent to landfill. Any taken to the tips is however recycled.
