MAJOR ROAD CLOSURE
Information has emerged that the road between Holt Heath and Ombersley is to be closed for ten weeks from 22nd June for work on the water mains.
A public meeting was held last night for Ombersley residents and a further meeting is now to be arranged for residents on the west side of the river.
After the experience of a few years ago I am sure we all realise the traffic chaos this will cause. Together with neighbouring District Councillors and local Parish Councils an approach is being made to the County Council for a meeting to stress that detailed traffic management plans are needed to mitigate the major disruption that can be expected.
