All major housing developments are now required to make a contribution both to educational and open space facilities.
The "Doctor's House" development in Great Witley was one of the first to come under this policy. As a result the Parish Council will receive an amount of c£35,000 to put towards purchasing an area of land which will also provide a pedestrian link betweeen the Worcester and Stourport roads - a much sought after facility.
After the disappointment of seeing the educational contribution not directed specifically to the village , I am delighted to have been able to assist in ensuring that the element allocated by MHDC is spent in Great Witley.
